No experience is needed and there is nothing to prepare. A trial lesson is simply a first meeting — a chance to see how lessons feel and whether we are a good fit for each other.
What can you expect from a piano trial lesson?
-
First, we’ll have a short chat about your musical background (if you have one) and your goals for learning to play the piano.
-
Then, depending on your level, we’ll either try to read and play a piece together, or start with the basics — getting familiar with the instrument, hand position, beginner exercises and basic music theory.
-
Thanks to my structured lesson programme, even during your very first trial lesson, you’ll be able to play a simple melody from sheet music by yourself!
The goal is to make your first experience with the piano enjoyable, clear and motivating.
What to expect from a vocal trial lesson?
-
First, we’ll have a short chat about your singing background and your goals. We’ll talk about whether you want to sing professionally or simply for yourself and your enjoyment.
-
Then, we’ll warm up your voice and do a set of vocal exercises to see how your voice works and what we can improve.
-
After that, we’ll sing a part of a song or a full song — your choice or mine. Most students prefer to sing something they already know well and feel comfortable and confident with during their trial lesson. And that’s absolutely fine!
-
Finally, I’ll give you my feedback and we’ll discuss a general plan for your future lessons — what we can work on specifically, and which direction we can take together.
The goal is not to judge you, but to get to know your voice and understand how I can help you develop it.
